Zululand Energy Terminal
ZET is the Vopak Terminal Durban–Transnet Pipelines partnership developing a proposed LNG import terminal at Richards Bay. Its current project page targets a 2028 FID and says pre-FEED is under way.

Zululand Energy Terminal is developing a proposed liquefied natural gas import terminal at the Port of Richards Bay. ZET’s published project design includes floating LNG storage, regasification and a connection intended to supply the Lilly pipeline and nearby industrial users; the design and capacity remain subject to project approval and final investment decisions. History
Transnet National Ports Authority appointed the Vopak Terminal Durban and Transnet Pipelines partnership as preferred bidder in January 2024. ZET signed a 25-year Terminal Operator Agreement with TNPA in February 2025. [3]
