Wouter Kellerman is a South African flautist, composer and producer. The Recording Academy records three Grammy wins from five nominations, and in 2026 he received the Order of Ikhamanga in Gold. [2][4]

Biography

Tshwane University of Technology records that Kellerman completed an electrical engineering degree at Rand Afrikaans University before pursuing music professionally. He continued to play and teach flute while studying and later built a career as a performer, composer and producer. [1]

The Recording Academy lists Kellerman as a three-time Grammy winner. He shared the 2015 Best New Age Album award for Winds of Samsara, the 2023 Best Global Music Performance award for Bayethe, and the 2025 Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album award for Triveni. [2]

Tshwane University of Technology awarded Kellerman an honorary Doctor of Arts and Design in 2024. In May 2026 The Presidency named him for the Order of Ikhamanga in Gold, citing his work as a flautist, composer and arranger and his use of music in community development. [3][4]
